Description:  12 hours 7am-7pm        7 days on 7 days off Customer Service Representative contributes to the success of the supply chain operational excellence plan by driving continuous improvement and competently handling the processing of customers’ goods and services efficiently and accurately. Essential Job Duties And Functions Communicates with customers and is the primary liaison for order fulfillment. Makes and receives calls to and from customers to resolve issues and collect information. Solicits and receives orders, Quotes on jobs using established prices/rates Processes orders for shipments; enters new product into inventory system when received. Prepares customers invoices Maintains computerized inventory (by location) of product; compares units and item numbers; Verifies totals on receiving tally. Responds to customer needs, following customer and company guidelines Coordinates carriers used for freight (common, LTL, CPU) Maintains location records for products moved within the warehouse Researches and resolves issues relating to customer inventory, invoices, charges, etc. Conducts month end closing, including billing, inventory balancing, etc. Handles Foreign Trade Zone documentation and processes and reports if paperwork is out of compliance. Consults with Safety Director regarding inventory as it relates to Hazardous Materials. Reports client satisfaction and dissatisfaction to manager and to Business Development representative. ASSOCIATED DUTIES Shares skills and knowledge of system and tools with other Customer Service Representatives. Substitutes for another Customer Service Representative or Receptionist, as needed. May assist in training of new representatives Looks for and refers new business opportunities and information to Business Development. Performs additional duties and special projects that may be assigned to meet company goals QUALIFICATIONS (Must have all of the following): Education: High school or Business school curriculum training. Six (6) months of customer service or office experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to utilize various computer software packages.
