Description: Warehouse Associate contributes to the success of the supply chain operational excellence plan by driving continuous improvement and competently receiving, storing, and shipping customer’s products per company’s procedures and customer’s specifications. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS 12 hour shifts 7 days on 7 days off WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS Safely and effectively operates power industrial trucks to lift, stack, tier or move products and materials. Moves levels and presses pedals to operate powered industrial truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Performs daily inspection of lift truck; checking fluids, belts, tires, etc Operates all lift truck equipment within the safety rules defined by the equipment manufacturer. Transports products to and from storage and staging areas Changes propane tank or battery, when necessary Loads, unloads and stacks material by hand for incoming and outgoing trucks Repacks or reworks per customer specification Ensures all equipment and machinery is operating properly; identifies warning signals Ensures quality of incoming, storage, and shipment of products Prevents, eliminates and cleans up spilled material Performs warehousing tasks accurately and with attention to detail Identifies sources of inventory errors and assists in corrective action Organizes and maintains inventory for space utilization Counts and records number of units received, moved and handled Submits or enters all paperwork for inventory and equipment problems Notifies Warehouse Supervisor of any inventory and equipment problems ASSOCIATED DUTIES Warehouse Associate, Must be able to work all shifts in any company locations Provides and ensures a safe and clean working environment Complies with Lockout/Tag out procedures Performs additional duties and special projects that may be assigned to meet company goals QUALIFICATIONS (Must have all of the following): Six (6) months of relevant experience. Current forklift/towmotor certified (will obtain towmotor license with company) Must be able to meet physical requirements PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 75-100% of the time Visual Abilities: Read operating procedures, customer specifications, diagrams and shipping/ receiving documents. Hearing: Hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, customers and carriers. Dexterity, Grasping, Feeling: Write, use radio and copier. Use hands/fingers to handle or feel objects/tools. Mobility: Sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch or crawl for extended periods of time. Operate machines and move throughout warehouse. Talking: Frequently convey detailed or important information and ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly. Lifting, Pulling, Pushing: Frequently lift/ move up to 60 pounds and occasionally lift/ move more than 90 pounds.
