But offering schedule flexibility for your workers, whether it’s working from home or adjusting their schedule to accommodate childcare or some other issue, is a great way to build loyalty in your employees. Employees that have more control over their schedules may work harder during the times they’re at work. If it’s an office worker that is allowed to stay home and work remotely occasionally, or a few days a week, their productivity will likely increase, as well. Allowing workers autonomy shows that you trust them. It will make for a happier workforce, which will, in turn, pay you back by putting more into the job.

Allowing workers to stay home when they are sick, as well as allowing them a morning off if they make up their time, for example, are all ways for employers to make sure that their workers are healthier. 

5. Saves money for employers.

A remote workforce cuts your electric bills, or other utilities, for example. But allowing employees job and scheduling flexibility will save companies in insurance costs with fewer claims. Too, employee retention should increase, which saves on hiring costs.
